Meet the Person #

Liu Biao's biography records his early fame as a prominent scholar, his appointment as Inspector of Jing Province after Emperor Ling's death, and his consolidation of forces at Xiangyang. He stood between Yuan Shao, Cao Cao, the Sun family, and others; Liu Bei also sought refuge and was received by him.

In Jian'an 13, Liu Biao died of illness before Cao Cao's southward army arrived. His governance of Jing Province must be separated from Liu Cong's subsequent surrender to Cao Cao; later actions are not attributed to Liu Biao himself.
